Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak has murdered the High King Torygg with the power of the Thu'um and put Skyrim into a civil war. As if a war among the land was not bad enough rumours of infamous Alduin, the World Eater has attacked the small secluded town of Helgen. Many speak of the end of times; others laugh at the idea of children stories coming to life. The once dissolved Blades hearing such rumours instead begin their search for the Dragonborn, a hero capable of leading them against the dragon menace.
While war rages between a newfound rebellion and a long standing legion, citizens stuck between are facing more real dangers in their homes. Werewolf sightings are becoming more common among the land, homes being invaded and left with nothing but dried blood stains. The nights become darker, and more people are barring their windows and doors in hopes to live until the morning. With each death the newly formed Dawnguard gains momentum while recruiting building their ranks.
